Converting, Adding, and more!!!
Fractions to Decimals!!!
To convert fractions into decimals you divide the numerator by the denominator EXAMPLE 4/9 you would do 4 ÷ 9=0.44444
Decimals to Fractions!!!
To convert decimals to fractions you would READ the decimal for EXAMPLE: ZERO AND FIVE TENTHS! You would do 0.5x10=5/10 then you simplify and you should get 1/2!!!
Decimals to Percents!!!
To convert decimals onto percent's you would have to times the decimal by one hundred or from the decimal to the left you would put your percent sign there EXAMPLE: 0.83 * 100 = 83 then add a percent sign after the answer 83%!!!
To add decimals all you do is line the decimals up and well just add EXAMPLE:
line the decimals up:
add zeros: 1.452
To subtract decimals you line up the decimals and just subtract!!! EXAMPLE:
Line the decimals up:1.1
add zeros: 1.10
To subtract u just ignore the decimal point then do your normal long division and last you just put the decimal point that was in the dividend directly above were the answer is EXAMPLE:
To add fractions you just find common denominator then times the denominator you started out with by whatever number you need to to get the common denominator you know what how about I just show you !!! EXAMPLE: 1/4+1/4=1+1/4=2/4 simp=1/2
To subtract fraction u do the exact thing you would do when your adding except u subtract the top two numbers instead of add them EXAMPLE:3/4-1/4=3-1=2/4 simp=1/2
Last but not least Dividing Fractions
To divide fraction u have to flip the second fraction then you multiply and you should get your answer!!!
OOPS FORGOT SOME!!!
To multiply fractions you just multiply straight across from each other!!!
