Highlight #1

Genrefying the Fiction Collection

A work still in progress, the fiction collection is separated into genres, or categories. Titles are placed where WKHS students would be most likely to find and check them out.

In short, a makerspace is a place where someone can create. Makerspaces vary their offerings: sewing, upcycling, 3D printing, electronics, bicycle repair, coloring, etc. My goal is to have stations set-up for students to create on their own but also offer direct instruction once a month.

Meet the MAKEY MAKEY - turn everyday objects into touchpads and combine them with the internet. Below, students created a human chain and are using play-doh to play an online piano.
