What is education?
The word 'education' is from the Latin educatio, which means bringing up.
Formal education occurs in a structured environment with the explicit purpose of teaching students. Most school systems are designed around a set of ideals that govern all educational choices in that system.
Education in america
The United States has school systems in every city, usually categorized by their counties.
Other countries do not have the same kinds of schools or education systems as our country does.
For example, Centennial High School is a part of the Fulton County School system.
US schools are also categorized by their levels, also known as grades.
The levels are ordered:
Elementary School-
Pre-k
Kindergarten
1st Grade
2nd Grade
3rd Grade
4th Grade
5th grade
Middle School/Junior High-
6th grade
7th grade
8th grade
High School-
9th grade/Freshmen
10th grade/Sophomores
11th grade/Juniors
12th grade/Seniors
College
College, however, is optional for students, whereas school levels such as elementary school, are necessary according to the state.
For example, if a student does not show up to school for a long period of time, or does not show up to classes habitually, the student may be punished. This is called truancy. Truant students can earn themselves punishments such as ISS (In School Suspension), or others. The parents of these students will be notified after the student reaches a certain number of absences, and can even go to jail as a result of their students never ending up in class.

IT'S A GREAT DAY TO BE A KNIGHT
For example, Centennial has sayings like:
"It's a great day to be a knight"
or
"Our best days are ahead"
Centennial also has its own teams and clubs.
The school mascot is a Knight.
The knight theme is also carried throughout the school, such as how school programs are named after medival knights or how the prom was held at a museum and titled "A Knight at the Museum".
The centennial colors are black, blue, and white, and the school logo is a capital blue C.
The school also has teams and clubs, in addition to more aspects of the high school.
Centennial's football team is also notorious, and holds many records, as well as many other sports teams at the school.
