Is it easier to learn when you are younger or older?

Learning a language is easier when we are younger.

When you are younger, you are more likely to become proficient in a shorter amount of time. Your brain is less developed than an adults making it easier for you to learn a second language.

There are also benefits to learning a language at an older age.

Being older makes it easier for you to use strategies to aid learning. You also have knowledge from your first language o draw from and you have greater control over it.
