Quest Overview

  • In this quest, you will learn about Danielson component 4D

  • Explore: complete a write up for Component 4D in your digital portfolio. To document your learning, you will take a screenshot of your write up in your digital portfolio and upload it to My GCC.
  • Synthesis: tweet out a connection between this component and ISTE, growth mindset, SAMR, another education class, or your future classroom. Upload a screenshot of your tweet to My GCC.

Why do we need to know about component 4D?

Component 4D is important because
  • We are in environments that promote student learning and growth, we must model it as well.
  • We need to work with colleagues to share ideas, plan events, create learning experiences for our students.
  • We are members of a professional community. As such, we need to network with those in our school, nationally, & globally.


Possible artifacts

Artifacts for component 4D include:
  • Committees or organizations in which you are involved in or serve on
  • Include if you hold a leadership role in this committee or organization.
  • Any extra-curricular activities in which you supervised/coached/volunteered.
  • A list of all volunteer work/paid within the school
  • Presentations made at the local, state, and national level.
  • Workshops/meetings attended.
