A Message from our Principal- Donna Burke
Wednesday, February 15th is Pink Shirt day, and we have shirts available for purchase. Pink Shirts are only $5 and can be purchased with cash and checks during any lunch period on Monday & Tuesday.
What is Pink Shirt Day?
In 2007 in Nova Scotia, 12th-grade students David Shepherd, Travis Price, and a few friends saw a 9th-grade student being bullied for wearing a pink shirt on the first day of school. They knew they had to do something to show that this kind of behavior was not okay. They decided to go out and buy a bunch of pink shirts and hand them out to other students to wear. By the end of that week, most of the students in the school were wearing pink shirts to show support for the 9th-grade student who was being bullied.
Pink Shirt Day has now spread and become a national anti-bullying day across Canada and other countries worldwide!
Let's wear pink shirts on Wednesday, February 15th to support Pink Shirt Day!
Reminders from the Principal
If you ride a bike to school, wear a helmet.
Students should NEVER stick any body part out of a window on a bus or in a car in carpool.
During carpool, students should make sure they are released by a teacher before they walk into traffic.
Students cannot ride motorized scooters, bikes or skateboards to school.
Chromebooks should only be used for school assignments.
Stay organized.
Please follow the school dress code.
Make good choices & be kind to one another!!
