Name Of Region
The name of region is Salt Lake State. Salt Lake State was founded by my great grandmother Atarah.
Relative Location
Salt Lake State is located on an island in the Bahamas. It was founded by my great grandmother. My great grandmother Marie was sailing across the Atlantic and came across an island, and settled there for a while. My great grandmother liked this island very much she decided to settle there forever. They began to rule that island and now it is Salt Lake State.
Time Period of Study
My great grandmother started to rule Salt Lake State in 1847. She died in 1941. When my great grandmother died my grandma ruled. Then my grandma and my mom ruled. After a while my grandma died and my mom got old to rule so she passed it on to me and I am the current ruler today.
Famous Landmarks
One famous landmark on Salt Lake State was a nice Caribbean house on the water. This landmark was built by my grandma in 1942. The purpose was to house the family. The Caribbean house was nice and big and had a lot of space for activities and more.
Another famous landmark in Salt Lake State is a statue of my great grandma. It was built when she died. It is to honor her because she founded Salt Lake State. The statue was about 15 feet tall on the pedestal.
The last famous landmark in Salt Lake State is a cave. When my great grandma Atarah first found this island she settled in a cave. She lived there for about 1 year. After 1 year she moved out of the cave and built a house. This cave is called Atarah's Cave. Sometimes now our family goes inside the cave just to feel like we are with Atarah and to appreciate all we have.

Jobs/Responsibilities (Of Women and Girls)
Women usually stayed home and managed the house. Girls went to school. When the girls got home from school they would do their chores and do their homework. After they were able to play outside with their friends. Women stayed home and cooked food and cleaned up the house. Women also had the rights to be free, as in go outside or to go to the marketplace. Women were not always just servants. Girls also attended a school over the weekends for proper manners.
Jobs/Responsibilities (Of Men and Boys)
Men went out and hunted for food for the family. They had full control over the household and did whatever they wanted. Boys attended school. When the boys got home from school they had to their chores and homework just like the girls. Boys also could go outside and play with their friends. Men could vote but women could not. On the weekends men went out to a meeting to talk about different laws, landmarks, jobs and more.
Terrain/Environment
In Salt Lake State the terrain is nice and smooth with some mountains. There are palm trees everywhere and it is hot and dry, but there is some rain. One of the water sources is the lake Salt Lake, hints the name Salt Lake State. The houses are built right over the water so you can see the lake.
Government
Our government is ruled by an oligarchy, more specifically Mark, Michaela, and I rule Salt Lake State. Mark is my older brother and Michaela is my younger sister. In Salt Lake State we have 5 major laws everyone needs to know or else they will be kicked of the island. These 5 laws are no killing, respect the kings/rulers, share resources with each other, help each other if they are in need, and you shall not commit adultery. These laws shall not be broken or there will be more punishments than just getting kicked off the island. Mark, Michaela, and I own an equal amount of land so no one is left sad or angry.
Religion(s)
In Salt Lake State we believe in one true God, and we believe he sacrificed himself for us so we can live a good and holy life. We believe he has a plan for each person on Salt Lake State. On Salt Lake State we have 5 churches spread across the island so everyone can praise our one true God. On Salt Lake State we are all Catholic and follow the teachings of God and all his amazing stories. We also worship him by giving gifts to him and sacrifices. We on Salt Lake State all go to church on Sunday to worship God, and the only time you can miss church is if you are sick. Our churches are very sacred and if you destroy one you will be punished.
Famous People/Leaders
In Salt Lake State we have 3 supreme leaders Mark, Michaela, and me Nicholas. Mark is 15 years old and is my older brother. He is a very good leader and is strict about is decisions (and strict in general), but that's what makes him a good ruler. Michaela is also one of the rulers, she is 11 years old and is very sassy but a good leader. She makes her own decisions whenever, where ever. She is also strict about her decisions but pretty good at what she does. Then there is me Nicholas. I am 13 years old and am the best ruler in Salt Lake State. Mark and Michaela are good but I'm better. I make the best decisions for Salt Lake State and the people. The people love it here all because I make the best decisions.
Traditional Clothing
Salt Lake State is kind of strict on clothing. On certain days you have to wear certain kinds of cloths. You can only wear the clothes you want on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, but not on Sunday. On Sunday's you have to dress up in your best clothes for church. We respect the churches on Salt Lake State very much. On Monday's and Tuesday's you have to wear somewhat casual clothes for a meeting about Salt Lake State and the government on Salt Lake State.
What Is My Civilization Most Famous For?
Salt Lake is famous for many things, but the one we are most famous for is our government. In Salt Lake State our government is really good and we also have very civilized laws that everyone loves. No people on the island are poor because the government gives people money for food, water, clothes, and a house. People usually come and live her because of the government, because they know it's good and they won't be treated badly like other places. That is what Salt Lake State is most famous for.
