Reflections from the week of 2-1-16
Although this past week was eventful, I am so blessed for the AMCHS community and the support they provided last Thursday. It takes all of us to maintain a supportive environment with high expectations and together we will make a difference. Regardless of the situation at hand, we will not waiver from the procedures and expectations that we set at AMCHS!
During the Signing Day ceremony, I reflected back when these seniors began AMCHS and tears filled my eyes. They have been such exceptional leaders who embody the qualities of AMCHS student, and I am so excited to see what their future entails. The sky is definitely the limit for each of them.
Tiger administrators visited several classrooms last week, and we were blown away by what we saw. In Biotechnology, students injected antigen in their fish samples, observed their recovery and recorded their observations. Eventually, the students will conduct additional experiments to assess the extent of nerve damage on the abdomen and gills. Indeed this assignment was high level and engaged all learners. Tiger administrators enjoy the wisdom we glean from classroom observations. So, the next time we are in the classroom, do not hesitate to include us, too.
