IMPORTANT: For the Trauma book study group, please print the applicable Student Journal (select your most appropriate grade level). You will find this attached to the email containing this newsletter).
Substitute Teacher Coverage
If you are a secondary teacher, you will need to consider whether or not you require a sub. Consider the following when determining your need:
- If you teach three or more ESL classes as the only teacher of record, you require a full-day or half-day substitute depending on your schedule.
- If you co-teach or push-in all day, you do not require a substitute. If your principal wishes for you to schedule a substitute, your school will pay for the substitute.
- If you teach fewer than three classes as the only teacher of record, you should obtain class coverage. If this is not possible, you should request a half-day or full-day substitute based on your actual need only as absolutely necessary.
- If the above applies, use the code "ELD-ELD Other Training".

A Message from Human Resources
HR needs your support! To date, less than 50% of teachers have completed their Workday task to upload transcripts. This task is critical to the fidelity of our work on the development of a new compensation structure for Licensed staff. Please continue to remind your teachers/all licensed staff to complete their Transcript Upload task in Workday. They must upload all college and university transcripts for their highest degree earned and any credits after that degree. In March, they received a communication regarding the work that must be done in order to reconfigure our salary structures, per the Board of Education Resolution. Part of this communication included this message. We ask that this be accomplished by May 15th.
