DW Construction Set to Begin
The construction project at Daniel Wright Jr. High will begin Monday, Feb. 24, starting in the vacated district office wing. The construction crew will set up a trailer and dumpster outside the north side of DW. This phase of the work is in a section of the school that will not impact teaching and learning.
The nearly $8 million renovation project calls for:
A 1,800 square foot classroom addition
A new Science Technology Engineering Math (STEM) lab
Library Learning Center upgrades
A refresh to the Family and Consumer Sciences classroom
Refresh to hallways to improve circulation
Improved secure school entrance and school office
Improved fire suppression system
District 103 administrative offices relocated to 111 Barclay Boulevard, Lincolnshire in February to make room for this project. The completion date is set for August 2020 before students return in the fall.
