Technology Double Shot!

A double shot of technology information every Tuesday

November 11, 2014

With gratitude for our veterans today.

First Shot: Helpdesk Tickets

This year we've encouraged everyone at SAS to open a ticket when you have a technology issue. As it turns out, you've been doing it!

Since August 1st, 2014 over 1,100 helpdesk tickets have been resolved.

Way to go Tech team!

We encourage you to continue using the helpdesk ticket system anytime you have a technology problem. Here are a few reasons why:

  1. Tickets go to all 8 members of the Technology Department, so someone will get back to you in a jiffy.
  2. When you tell us things in the hallway, we are likely to forget (we're just hardwired that way!)
  3. With the ticketing system we have a running record of an issue, and other members of the team often weigh in to assist.

That's the ticket

You can open a ticket in a few ways. Look for the Helpdesk Ticket shortcut on your desktop. Or, open up your web browser and go to help.sasaustin.org.

Keep those tickets coming!
