At The Grange

Chef Odette Sprenger is a professional chef who lives in The Meadows. She has over 45 years of experience cooking Belgian and French cuisine, has worked for celebrities in California and she has even owned and operated her own bistro for 19 years with her husband Herman. Chef Odette teaches monthly classes at The Grange in which she demonstrates how to create a gourmet meal, gives you the recipe and you get to enjoy eating the meal at the end. With small class sizes and a different menu prepared each time, there is much to be learned and fun to be had.

September Menu:

September’s menu features spinach lasagna (fresh spinach, no ricotta cheese), a baked salmon fillet with herb de provence crumb, and a sundried tomato beurre blanc sauce. Finish off the delectable meal with a plum pastry topped with almond cream.

October Menu:

Enjoy stuffed cabbage with ground turkey, pork, herbs and spices cooked in a chardonnay wine. The dish will be accompanied by mashed potatoes topped with diced bacon, parmesan, and parsley. An apple and pear torte with crumb topping will be the sugar on top!

November Menu:

Celebrate Thanksgiving early with a menu of butternut squash and ginger soup topped with a lime garnish and asiago cheese croutons, Cornish Hen with ground meat, cranberries, apricots, apples and an orange glaze. The meal will be accompanied by port wine gravy, spiced red cabbage cooked in red wine, scallop fennel potato gratin, and a pumpkin cheesecake.
