"Keep your face to the sunshine and you cannot see the shadow." Helen Keller

Negative people - they're all around us. People who suck all the positive energy out of us to fuel their relentless hunger for negativity, leaving us drained, exhausted, and unhappy. Whatever we call them—energy vampires, energy suckers, or just unhappy - they can wreak havoc on our lives and leave us feeling drained and frustrated.

These people are often overly dramatic, making mountains out of molehills. They are overly critical, finding fault with just about everyone and everything in their lives. They rarely find anything to their liking or meeting their satisfaction. They view the glass as half empty not half full and tend to blame everyone but themselves for their actions and problems.

In the times we live in, energy, especially the positive kind, is a precious commodity. It's not something we should willingly give up to the negative power of those who would steal our energy. I challenge all of us to keep a positive attitude and surround ourselves with positive people who leave us feeling upbeat, positive, and energized. In the words of Helen Keller, "Keep your face to the sunshine and you cannot see the shadow."

Cougar Cards

Thank you for recognizing our students with Cougar Cards. If you don't believe how impactful a postcard can be, please see the message below that Mr. Phillips shared.

Enjoy jeans this week for meeting our Cougar Card goals last week!

Mr. Phillips:

Nicholas received a card in the mail praising him for his hard work. I have never had a school send me alerts when he was failing and notes of encouragement when things were going better. This means alot to me and my husband to know that CN truly cares about the well being of their students.

I can't thank everyone enough for all of your help!

Thank you!
