About Kylie Bisutti
Kylie Biscutti was born on March 31, 1990 in Simi Valley, California. As a young child Kylie has always wanted to be a model. Whenever her dream came true she honestly loved it so much. At age 14 she started to model and soon became a Victoria secret model and won the 2009 Victoria secret model search. At age 21 she decided she was done with the whole modeling so she could be a role model instead. She became a really strong Christian, and has started to preach and tell her story all around the world.
Kylie Bisutti has always wanted to be noticed when she was little. She has always wanted to be a model. In 8th grade Kylie got a call from a model agent that they wanted her to be one of the models. Ever since then she has been a model and was a Victoria secret model. Recently Kylie made a decision that changed her life forever. A decision that can affect all the boys and girls out in the world. She decided to quit being a model and to start being a role model. She describes in the book many events that led her to being a model and events that led her to being strong Christian women.
Review of the book
This book is honestly so good. It is one of my favorite books I have ever read, and I am really picky with books. This book describes a broken down women reaching the Lord and sharing an important message. One reason I love this book is because I relate to it. I am a strong Christian that has flaws just like Kylie Bisutti. This book also relates to me really well because I am a girl and it mainly is a message for women. Basically to not care what other people to think of you and realize that you are special and you don’t have to change so the world will love you. I think this book is a life changer book and is great for girls in 6th grade to elderly.
One major memory is when Kylie and her family move to Las Vegas. When Kylie and her family move from Jackpot to Las Vegas for her dad’s job, things start to be different. She used to be so close to her dad but he barely acknowledges her now because he is so busy with work. When Kylie starts the 8th grade her life completely changes in a good way. She starts getting noticed more by teachers but students too. She gets noticed by being that pretty skinny girl and not being called giraffe because she is so skinny. In the Spring Kylie mother sent pictures of Kylie to the envy agency which is one of the largest modeling agencies in Las Vegas. The agency is interested in her.
Worthy: This memory from the book is so important because this is when her modeling career all started. Also because she started to be less shy and more confident about herself. It made her less shy because she would have to strip into different clothes in front of models and security guards.
This picture is a picture of Las Vegas. In the story she moves to Las Vegas and that is where she starts to model.
No more name calling
As a kid she was always called giraffe. But in 8th grades everything changes. She is now referred to that pretty skinny girl.
Piles of pictures
This picture is a picture of picture frames. It represents that she is starting to be a model and they take tons of pictures of her.
No more name calling
Kylie starts to model in Thailand for formal wear in the summer. This trip was also so she could be noticed in the industry and to get more experience on what she will do later in life. This is a huge moment for her because this is her first time for her to be outside of the United States. This trip was also so when she applies for a better modeling job clients will see that she has worked overseas. This in this case is a pretty big deal. It shows diversity. This is also one of the first times she realized she was homesick after only two weeks of being in Thailand for modeling. She bails on the envy, but they didn’t stay mad at her for long because her modeling was so good. She was making the company 20% of everything Kylie made.
Worthy: This is a memorable moment and its worth holding on to because this is her first time being out of the United States, and people really start to love her. She is starting to live the life of a model and experience what it is like.
Glorifying the Lord
This day is the most important day of Kylie Bisutti life. She is about to tell the whole world on live TV that she is done with modeling and wants to be a role model. She wants to change her life around and that she is now living for Christ. She and many friends, family and agents go to a interview in New York. This is Kylie’s big day. She is about to tell her fans and everyone the truth behind her life and what she wants to do.
Worthy: This is a memorable moment because and something worth holding on to because this is when she starts to be honest with the world. She gets all her worries out the way. This is a big deal because what she wants to do is the total opposite of being a model.
Kylie is now a freshman. There is this really great, popular and attractive senior guy that really likes her. She starts too really like him. They go to homecoming with each other, even though it was really hard to convince her parents to let her go with him they finally said yes. She told her parents they would not go to the strip after the dance and Jake completely tricked her. Her parents would not let her date him though. Kylie could only go to this with him. Her parents are really strict because they know how most high school boys are like. After homecoming after what happened she never thought he would talk to her again but he did. All he wanted to do is just use her for his self. And she never realized that until he tried. That day she lost her virginity. She was so disgusted with what she did. They soon broke up.
This may not sound like an important moment and it is worth holding on too. In the book but it really is. This part of the book shows the type of person she is. She was into peer pressure.
After what happened the last six weeks between Kylie and Jake, Kylie is so upset with herself. She can’t even smile anymore because she is completely so frustrated with what she did. She did the exact opposite of what her parents told her. She lied to them and lost her virginity. One day in the hall way sitting on a stair step upset, a girl starts to walk towards her and gives her a paper. This girl explains to her that there is bible study every Wednesday and thinks Kylie should come. Kylie decides to go and it completely changes her heart. She barely even knew who God was but from that one night she began to feel a small relationship with him. She starts to go to bible study regular and soon attends the girl’s church. A couple weeks later there is a beach camp for the church. She goes and learns so much about the Lord and finally lets out what she did to a group leader later. She was done holding it in. She knew God loved her and forgives her.
This chapter is so memorable because this is when she finally has a connection in Christ. She realizes that she not perfect but God is an amazing savior and forgives her. She starts to really Love him.
Off to New York
Kylie gets a a call from from her agent at envy and how this company in New york wants to sign her. One of the most popular modeling companies ever. This was not just a 2-3 week thing, it was full time. This was a huge commitment. Kylie started to make amazing friends at school and had great relationships with friends she had just met. She would just be leaving them that quickly. She decided to sign with the company. This is something she has wanted to do her whole life.
Worthy: This is a really important part of the book also because this is when she really explores life without no parents. Shes going to have to make decisions that will come across that she will have to make without her parents helping her.
