Hello, Jackson County 4-H Families!
We hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend!
If you are a returning leader, please check your email (including spam and junk folders) for an email from Steven concerning your CHC. If you haven't received an email, please reach out to our office. If you have received an email, please follow the email instructions to make sure your Criminal History Check status stays current and we can add you as a leader! Your email might have said "no action needed", in which case you're fine.
Tonight is our annual Member Recognition Night! All club officers (president, vice president, treasurer, secretary, etc.), Ambassadors, Record Book Contest participants, camp counselors, and award nominees (If you were nominated for an award, you were notified by email from Lena on Monday) are invited to attend.
The event, led by the 4-H Ambassador Team, is this evening (Monday, November 28th) from 6:30 - 7:45 pm at the Extension Center. Horse Versatility Awards will also be given out. An array of desserts, drinks and awards will be provided!

The Southern Oregon Research and Extension Center is hiring an Office Specialist 2! This full-time position will, among other duties, support 4-H programming and logistics through enrollment, registrations, payments, and general program information!

Interstate Exchange Needs More Participants!
Historically, interstate exchange participants who participated in fundraising had the entire cost covered.
The next interest meeting is Wednesday, Dec. 7 from 6:30-7:30PM in the Extension Classroom! See the flyer below for more information.

Cost: $5, first class free with code 'FIRSTFREE', 4-H members can ask Steven for a code that makes all classes free!

Information for Leaders
Returning Leader Enrollment 2022-23
All CHC emails have been sent to all returning leaders. Please check your spam and junk folders to ensure you didn't miss it! If you didn't receive a CHC email (make sure to check spam), please contact Steven at 541-930-8412. All returning leaders should have received an email about their CHC status, so if you cannot find one, please reach out! Remember, the deadline for returning leader CHCs is December 7th. Please do not delay. You will not be approved as a leader if we do not have a CHC on file for you through September 2023.
Club Charters Must be Updated
Please fill out the charter form below and return it with signatures to SOREC by January 31st. One charter should be filled out for every club.
Also, remember that the 4-H Resume will be required for all members showing at fair this year (wristbands will be given to those who complete their 4-H Resume)!
Virtual and State 4-H Opportunities
International Exchange Deadline is December 1!!!
Interested in traveling abroad? The deadline is approaching for the States’ 4-H International Exchange Program!
Application Deadline: December 1st - All applications submitted by Oregon 4-H members MUST be completed on line by this date. This allows time for processing and for conducting interviews and notifying successful applications of acceptance.
