WMS Weekly Warrior

Week of 5-13-19

Principal's Post

Good Afternoon and Happy Mother’s Day to all our WMS moms,

This week’s Warrior highlights our much-anticipated annual 8th grade trip to Washington D.C. Months of preparation and planning went into this trip. Thank you to Mrs. Bonnetti and Mrs. Greene for all their hard work. It was a great trip for all.

As the famous quote says “The best laid plans of mice and men often go awry”. Although there were a few unplanned incidents like arriving a little late and rushing through lunch, incorrect hotel room assignments, and that bus break down thing, we manged to have a great trip. These minor incidents tested our resolve but as usual, our awesome students and super chaperones managed to make the best of every situation. It truly is a testament that our WMS community is really the best. It was great to pull into WMS and see all those welcoming faces. I know the students were excited to be home. Thank you for all your cooperation in helping us run a well-organized trip. I hope that everyone was able to get some rest over the weekend. Please enjoy the photos below and a video highlighting some photos from the trip.

For planning purposes, the 8th grade graduation will be held on the last day of school at 6:00 P.M. in the WMS gymnasium. Currently we are scheduled to end on June 21st.

Have a great week,

Bill Nemec, Principal

Suzi Greene, Assistant Principal
