Breast Cancer Awareness Month
"The 2nd 9 Weeks is Here"
Monday, October 19th begins the 2nd 9 weeks of school. Tomorrow, we will welcome over 120 students back to campus. We are super excited to have more students on campus and in classrooms. I know it is a hard decision for some parents to send their children back to school at this time, so we thank you.
As a campus, we will continue to make safety our top priority. All of our new students will attend an orientation on the safety expectations before they report to any classes. Below are a few expectations we have put in place to maintain a safe learning environment for all.
- Students should not be dropped off before 7:45 am as we do not have supervision before this time.
- Students will be encouraged to sanitize their hands upon entry and throughout the day.
- Students will use one-way hallways during all class changes.
- We will limit the number of students who use the restroom at a time.
- Students will NOT be allowed to share food, school supplies, or electronic devices.
- All students and staff are required to wear a mask covering their nose and mouth.
I ask that you remind your children of these expectations and communicate the importance of meeting these expectations. Please continue to read all correspondences from the campus and the district as we work to provide you with up-to-date information.
Your igKNIGHTed Principal,
Dr. HP Hyder, III
"October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month"
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month! Breast cancer has impacted millions of families around the world. I'm sure many of us can name family members and friends who have been impacted. This disease has directly affected my family as my mother is a breast cancer survivor!
To honor those who lost their lives to the disease, those fighting it now, and those who survived, every Friday in October is PINK Friday! So, go dig around in the closet and help your child find something PINK.
