Racism
Taiga Cibulka Period 8
What is racism.
Racism is when people call you something abusive just by your skin color. This affects any skin for example black, Mexican, Asian and etc. This results in heavily arguments, fights, and conflict between the white and the colored.
Whom does your injustive affect and why?
This affects basically everyone who is colored in the US. It affects them because some people think they do not deserve to the unfairness. Also racism has been occurring for a while with segregation to blacks back in the MLK days.
Why should there be a monument or memorial created for this injustice.
People have been abused just by their color for a while. So we need to honor the people who stepped up by getting beat by giving them a memorial. So we can show the appreciation to people that set a land mark of their bravery. This can include Martin Luther king monument looking over what he did to say that colored have rights just like whites. A museum like the holocaust museum in DC stating what segregation was like. So these big names all deserve their own honor by just looking over their troubles, and how hard they fought for peoples rights.
Where would this monument/ memorial be placed and why at that location?
The museum of the Fergerson riot should be in Missouri honoring the life of Micheal Brown. The MLK museum should be where his last moment was. In Memphis Tennessee where he got assassinated by James Earl Ray.
What is your hope and purpose for this memorial.
My hope is people would stop abusing people over their skin tone. With all the monument/ memorial I hope they will open their eyes, and see that their normal human beings just trying to find a way of life just like normal people. So I am hoping that this would see if they were in their position how they felt. How they came through the troubles. What they did to lead up to try to stop it. Last the places would state how a perfect world would be with ought any conflict over a argument over skin color.
