It is November 1-2, in connection with the Catholic holidays of All saints’ Day and All Souls Day, respectively. Traditions connected with the holiday include, but are not limited to building private altars honoring the deceased using sugar skulls, marigolds,the favorite foods and beverages of the departed, and visiting the graves of the departed with these gifts.They also leave possessions of the deceased.
