Jack
Bloodlust at its' worst
Appearance
Jack is red haired, freckled faced, 12-13 year old boy. He is described as "tall, thin, and bony: and his hair was red beneath the black cap. His face was crumpled and freckled, and ugly without silliness. Out of this face stared two light blue eyes, frustrated now, and turning, or ready to turn, to anger."
Personality
Jack is a self-centered, egotistical brat. He is quick to anger, with lust for blood. Not a good combination. He feels he should be cheif for no reason other than he wants to be. His lust for blood leads to the murder of a boy. When he gets power he acts as if he's king. He cares for no one but himself. He always picks on those weaker than him. In other words, he's a pompous ass without the guts to stand up to those bigger than him.
Role
Jack is the main antagonist of the story. He represents non-democracy and what happens to us when we are stripped away from society. He also represents rebellion. As soon as there are no adults to limit what he can say and do he lashes out, mainly at Piggy. He starts doing what he wants, when he wants, which leads to the murder of Simon.
