The focal point for tomorrow night's session will be adolescent substance use and ways of preventing and identifying adolescent substance use. Jack will also provide specific information about a variety of resources for both parents/guardians. He will share resources that are meant specifically for our children.
What is Standards-Based Grading?!?
Moving Toward a Standards-Based System-
Who would you want to pack your parachute? That's a strange question! During our professional development meetings, we have started with the concept of packing a parachute. We want the performance and safety standards met as we step out of the plane at 10,000 feet!
Standards-Based Grading is different from traditional A-F grading. It is based on the principle that grades should convey how well students have achieved the standard. In other words, grades are not about what students earn; they are about what students learn. ~Source: Susan M. Brookhart
