Dear Mason Families,
Happy Sunday and Go Lions!
It was great seeing our students successfully transition back to remote learning this week. I can't thank our staff enough for putting in the time to make sure this shift was successful and for being the calm in the middle of the storm. Quality educators make the difference and our educators at Mason are top notch!! I am truly thankful for our staff and our entire Mason Community.
Even though this year is a little different, I would love to make sure our students still have an opportunity to share their voice with the entire Mason Community! If your child would like participate in the morning announcements, please help them fill out the form below. We are looking to highlight as many students as possible on the announcements.
Thanks for your time,
Dr. Roy Bishop, Jr.
Principal
We want you to be a part of our Daily Announcements!
Dr. Bishop is looking for your Funny Jokes, Best Quotes and Favorite Book videos for our daily announcements.
You can send in a short video NO LONGER THAN 15 SECONDS to Mrs. Collins from the Mason Homepage.
We will share your videos throughout the year. Come on Mason - show us what you’ve got!
Information from our Mrs. Stateczny our School Social Worker

The office hours will start at 12:30 and will end at 1:15. This will be available to students every Wednesday during remote and hybrid learning. Students can sign on to Zoom during this time to play supervised games, have social time with each other, and to discuss any concerns they may be having. Their grown ups at home are also welcome to join! Please click here to access the Zoom link. We are looking forward to seeing everyone!
Diversity Den

One GP Virtual, Traditional Face to Face Winter enrollment
GPPSS Families,
If you are interested in switching your child between programs (OneGP Virtual or GP Traditional), please fill out this application. This application will close on November 18th at 5:00 pm. The official change between programs will not start until January 25th at the start of the second semester. For families who are uncomfortable with a return to face-to-face instruction, this is an opportunity for your child to remain in OneGP Virtual for the duration of the school year.
If you do not wish to switch your child's program placement, no action is required at this time. If you have any questions, please reach out to Sara Delgado at delgads@gpschools.org.
Take care,
Dr. Delgado
Schoology and Tech Support
What is my student’s new password?
The annual rollover of student accounts was completed ahead of schedule. Students can now access any of their GPPSS digital material (Google, Clever, Schoology, Chromebooks) with their new password. To find their new password, log into the MiStar Parent Portal. Once you find your student, scroll down, and their password will be available under “Student Login Information.”
Schoology Tips and Help for Students and Families
It would be helpful to learn how to login into the Schoology page and then “bookmark” it, so that it is easy to access every day. To do so, you and your child will need access to their school ID number and password. To find your child’s password, login to Parent Portal and you will find them there. The password should be a nine digit number beginning with 1500 and their password is made up of random letters and numbers. I recommend writing this down in a place where you can easily find it.
Next, Click here for specific directions from the District on how to access Schoology. This link will also direct you to the logins for both parents and students. Again, we highly recommend bookmarking the “Student Login” page so that students can easily access
