Next week's schedule will be: Monday, 12/20 is an ODD Advisory Day Tuesday, 12/21 is an EVEN Encore Day NO SCHOOL Wednesday, 12/22 School resumes on Tuesday, 1/4 as an 8 period day. Please use Winter Break as an opportunity to get caught up in classes and prepare for finals the second week of January.	Arts IHSSA Large Group Season is here! Below are important dates for IHSSA students and families: IHSSA Parent/Preview Nite: January 14 District IHSSA Contest: January 22 @ Osceola State IHSSA Contest: February 4/5 @ Valley All State IHSSA Festival: February 18/19 @ ISU	Activities The Valley After-Prom Committee is in need of leadership and volunteers for the 2021-22 school year as this is an entirely parent-run event. Traditionally, Junior parents have worked to gather donations, determine a theme, plan the event activities, and supervise the event. Without parent leadership, this event will not take place. Please reach out to Valley Associate Principal Shannon Campbell (campbells@wdmcs) for more information. Congratulations to Valley Dance Team member Kennedy Kluver for earning first place as Iowa State Solo Champion! Great job Kennedy! Chess Club has resumed match play Tuesdays after school in the Media Center. Students who are interested in poetry, prose or artwork are encouraged to submit their work to Ms. Perry (perrye@wdmcs.org) for a chance to be featured in Valley's literary magazine, Ink. Prayer Club meets Friday morning at 7:20 AM in Mrs. Stanfel's room, 1607. Come for breakfast, fellowship and prayer. Join the Greenhouse Club in room 1329 the first and third Wednesdays of each month after school. Gender Sexuality Alliance (GSA) meets Thursdays 3:30-4:15 in room 3422. Join us for Anime Club every Tuesday and Thursday morning at 7:30 AM in Ms. Stanfel's Room 1607.
