RUN the Race
Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up.
And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us.
Hebrews 12:1
It Takes a Village...
I'm sure you have heard the old adage...it takes a village. One thing that I know about raising teenagers is that it certainly takes a village and definitely in the culture in which we live. At our First Prayer last week, the short devotion was focused on the difficult culture that our children are growing up in and what we can do together to prepare them in Christ to tackle it. It is such an honor to partner with parents to provide an opportunity for the spiritual development of our kids in so many ways - chapels, advisory groups, Bible classes, and retreats. Thank you to all who have been praying for our kids as they go on retreat, and we ask for you to continue praying as we take our last group - Class of 2021 - this coming Tuesday! Also, please join us in prayer for all of our students that God is revealed to them in a personal and powerful way!

Hurricane Harvey Dressdown Day - Friday, 9/22
Dressdown Day Guidelines:
The privilege of a dress down day is awarded occasionally. While we want to provide an enjoyable special privilege, we still maintain that students should be neatly dressed. For boys or girls, long pants (jeans, khakis, etc.) or shorts that are at least fingertip length may be worn. Avoid pants and shorts that are too tight. Athletic and Nike shorts may NOT be worn for regular dress down days unless specifically given permission to do so, such as retreat days, work days, and some dressup theme days. Leggings are NOT allowed by themselves at any time. Avoid low necklines, spaghetti straps and tank tops. Designer labels should be worn in good taste. Excessively long shirttails must be tucked inside pants. Hats/headwear are not permitted. Flip-flops, high platform shoes, or any open-toe shoes are not to be worn.
