January 31st- Fostering a Welcoming and Affirming School Environment Day
On Tuesday, January 31, 2023, the Churchville-Chili Middle school will have a Fostering a Welcoming and Affirming School Environment Day! The purpose of this day is to support our CCCSD Core Beliefs of:
• Everyone deserves a welcoming and nurturing environment that fosters positive relationships.
• Treating each other with mutual respect, dignity, and honesty, that demonstrates appreciation.
• Respecting diversity affirms individual worth and benefits the community.
Students will have dedicated time to engage in several activities that help us to better understand how students feel connected to our school and culturally connected to the CCMS. The activities are listed below:
- Complete a School and Cultural Connectedness Survey with the goal of better understanding students' feelings of connectedness with others in the school and cultural connectedness in school.
- View a collection of videos created by our CCMS students that share the importance of having an affirming and inclusive school environment.
- Participate in an Exploring Your Culture Project
