Storytelling Camp
With Storyteller, Author, Teacher, and Librarian Matt Damon
"There is no greater power on earth than story." - Libba Bray
At Storytelling Camp we will dive into learning and telling stories from a diversity of world folk literature. While engaging our full creativity and honoring our unique talents, we will use storyboarding, voices, gestures, improv, and other techniques to build our storytelling skills, as well as build confidence for any public speaking situation. Camp will culminate with everyone sharing a story at a performance in the Ashland Public Library!
Our main goals: To have fun with story and creativity in a learning environment that is simultaneously dynamic and safe with regard to risk-taking, and personal discovery.
