Team Columbia
Average is OFFICIALLY over!
February is a Busy Month
Team Columbia:
We have a lot going on this month so, mark your calendars. We are getting our Juniors ready for ACT Testing on February 20. This is our last push for testing for growth and proficiency for our Report Card for next year. Continue to push ACT skills in your classes. Begin to talk to your Junior classes about the importance of this exam and that they can use the scores to send to colleges and universities. Elective teachers can make an impact by incorporating reading, writing and grammar skills as bellringers or incorporated into your instruction.
Leadership Huntsville will be visiting on Wednesday. Let's continue to hold students accountable. Ensure that you are making parental contact when students are not meeting expectations. Ensure that you are appropriately accommodating IEP, IELP, and 504 students. Review those plans as a self-check for compliance. Lastly, use the tools in your toolbox such as AOA cards, Pink Slips, ManageBac, etc to ensure students are accountable to be responsible for their learning.
As always, thank you all for going above and beyond! It is really appreciated.
Have a great week of teaching and learning!
