Principal's Message
Global Education at Pleasant Union
We are leaping into 2020 with a focus on Health & Well-being. Physical health and mental well-being will be a priority for us.
- After several lessons introducing Health and Well-being, all students at PUE will develop a New Year's Resolution centered around Health and Well-being.
- Our teachers will display these resolutions creatively in the hallways.
- There will also be an opportunity to have students create cards for children in the hospital. Health and well-being is more than just physical. Supporting each other and reaching out in kindness does a lot for our mental well-being!
Your child will also participate in Brain Breaks (physical activities) with a purpose through UNICEF Kid Power. “UNICEF Kid Power features free, interactive videos that give students the power to save lives globally and give back locally!”
- Please see the flyer below for additional information.
Upcoming Family Event
Do you want to learn more about our rigorous instructional program? Do you want to see the creative ways that teachers engage our students? If so, we have an event for you! The staff at Pleasant Union will host a very special Curriculum Night on Monday, February 17 from 4:00-6:00. There will be a variety of sessions for parents to sign up for so that you can learn more about how we facilitate learning for our students. We will also have activities for our students while you are attending sessions. More information will be provided regarding sessions and activities in January.
