Principal's Message
- Acknowledge that all of us are teachers and learners
- Communicate openly about our needs
- Welcomes challenging opportunities to grow
- Self assesses and takes ownership of words and actions
The ways that students could demonstrate responsibility, both in remote and in person learning, were reviewed. Staff members will be looking to nominate a Star Student for the month for December.
As we transition to fully remote learning for all students and staff, we want to stress the importance of working together. Students can demonstrate responsibility by logging in to their classes on time and participating in lessons. Students need to be logged in for the entire academic period to demonstrate understanding and interact with their teacher. Help your student with the following tips:
- Create a visual schedule of times that Google Meets and classes take place
- Use a timer for screen breaks
- Set an alarm to signal when the next class begins
- Ask questions about online requirements and expectations if unsure

Save the Date: Virtual Parent Workshop, Social Emotional Learning Tools for Parents
Our guidance department has organized a live virtual parent workshop on social emotional learning. The workshop is hosted by Box out Bullying and is called "SEL Tools for Parents." The workshop will take place on January 7, 2021. Discover how to use certain solution-focused techniques, the Peace Table, that will have an immediate impact on a child's behavior, achievement, and social emotional intelligence. There will be an opportunity to ask questions. We will get additional information about the time and log in access when we get closer. We hope to see you there!
