Park View Newsletter
Mrs. Wallerstedt. 1/29/21
Healthy=Hybrid
I want to remind everyone of the importance of a new way to help you remember to check your children daily for any COVID symptoms listed on the self-certification form you signed. All who have filled out the COVID-19 Self-Certification - Jan 25 survey; your child(ren) will receive a backpack tag next week to signify they can be in-person at Park View School. The tag is a reminder to check for symptoms daily. If you send your children to school with symptoms and they turn out to be positive for COVID-19, classrooms may have to be closed. There has been an increase in closings at Park View so please remember it is up to all of of us at Park View, and each family, to keep the in-person classes open. Be extra vigilant on checking your children daily for symptoms and keep them home for remote learning when they show symptoms. Then contact Mrs. Rymut, our school nurse, who will help guide you through your options. If we follow the guidelines, there won't be interruptions in our hybrid schedule at school. We know this is tough, but everyone benefits. This is what the Hybrid=Healthy plan (Spanish) is all about and don't forget to follow the 3W's too!
2021 Science Fair Registration . . . . . . . .
Parents - Science Fair is the perfect activity to guide your child(ren) through and keep them busy, learning, and thinking during these winter days. Completing a project with a sibling, or alone, can be lots of fun. Kids are naturally drawn to researching, experimenting, hypothesizing, demonstrating and gaining a new understanding of their world. It also builds their confidence as a learner. Below are dates and links to information, a web page, and great virtual meetings that your kids will love. Our Park View Science Fair Liaison is Ms. Daeschler. If you have specific questions, please contact her (sdaeschler@sd44.org). She is happy to help! I hope you will take advantage of this fun learning opportunity. I would love to see all our Park View Panthers participating and having fun.
