PTA Fall Festival
TONIGHT, is our PTA Annual Fall Festival! We hope you can come join us this evening, Friday, October 11 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wristbands can be purchased at the door for $10 and can be paid for by cash or check. This Lisbon tradition is in its 22nd year and is one of our exciting and fun events! Please join us for games, food and fun!
Fall Has Arrived
As the weather begins turning seasonally cool, we wanted to take a moment to remind each family to check the weather forecast daily to assist in selecting clothes for school. Keep in mind that between time spent at the bus stop and recess, students may spend up to 45 minutes outside each day. Please assure your child/children wear the proper temperature and precipitation appropriate clothing each day.
Halloween Parade
On Thursday, October 31, 2019, Lisbon ES will celebrate Halloween. Our annual costume parade around the school (outside weather permitting) will be held at 2:00 p.m. this year. However due to logistical concerns, only room parents and designated volunteers assisting with the parties may come into the classrooms.
Please review the following reminders/updates.
- Avoid any costumes that perpetuate violence, have any blood, gore, scary masks, or contain any type of weapons. Props that come with costumes that are “play weapons” are not allowed in school. This includes but is not limited to toy guns, knives, swords, sickles, pitchforks, etc.
- If you prefer that your child does not take part in the parade, please send a note to your child’s teacher or contact Mrs. Anoff at debra_anoff@hcpss.org.
- Visitors are welcome to watch the parade outside and gather in the front of the building! Staff members will be available to help guide all visitors. However, due to logistical concerns, ONLY room parents and designated volunteers assisting with the parties will be permitted into classrooms. We ask that all other visitors remain outside of the building to enjoy the parade. Thank you for your cooperation.
