A Message from the Principals

Dear Millbridge Families,

Thank you for showing your support at our Back to School Nights. For those of you who were unable to attend, our general presentation can be accessed here or on the Millbridge website.

On Tuesday, we have a special surprise assembly planned for our students. As baseball season winds down, we are going to have a sports theme and we are encouraging our staff and students to wear theri favorite Phillies gear.

Sneakers Every Day: Extra Phys. Ed Class

As we shared at Back to School Night, we recommend students wear sneakers every day since they are needed for physical education classes, health and recess. Students at Millbridge have an additional physical education class taught by Mr. Cordero, who also teaches at DIS, approximately once every 10 school days. At Millbridge, days, when Mr. Cordero is here, are referred to as Day A, Day B, Day C, Day D and Day E. Below is a list of classes that are scheduled each day. We will reference Day A-Day E in the Dates to Know.

Attendance/Absence Information

New this school year, we are trying a system for parents to use when notifying the school of your child’s absence. Please email the main office at MBOffice@delranschools.org and include the following:

  • Child’s first and last name

  • Date of absence(s)

  • Child’s teacher

  • Reason for absence

If you prefer to call, please contact the main office at (856) 461-2900 and follow the prompts to record the above information.

Please note that all absences are not excused by the Delran Township School District. If your child misses school for a medical reason, a doctor’s note must be provided within 5 days of the absence.

Delran Education Foundation welcomes you

The Delran Education Foundation is run entirely through the volunteer efforts of members of the Delran community. There are opportunities for interested individuals to help staff a fundraising event, to help plan an event, to solicit sponsorship from local businesses, to serve on one of our committees, or to serve on the Board of Trustees. The Foundation welcomes the support of anyone willing to contribute his or her time, even if the individual doesn’t have much time to give. Join Us. If you are willing to volunteer some of your time to support Delran’s students, please complete the form below. Someone will be in touch with you soon, and we’ll work together to determine how you can help. We are currently looking for help for an event on Oct 3rd, committee members for the spring fundraiser and we have chair positions we are hoping to fill.Any questions can be directed to Kris Scanlon at kbelisario@comcast.net.

Birthday Treats

For birthday celebrations, please notify the teacher that you will be bringing a treat prior to sending the treat to school. Please, send in only ONE treat per student that can be easily shared such as soft pretzels, cupcakes or individual-size packaged snacks.

DELRAN STEM

Delran STEM is pleased to announce our first community event in the recently completed Delran Innovation & Fabrication Lab. We will be hosting children's book author Paul Reynolds on September 27, for a meet-the-author/book signing event, along with an opportunity to create and customize a "dot" in the Lab, using the Fab@School Maker Studio software from Fablevision. Select titles, including The Dot, the Sydney & Simon series, and Going Places, are available for pre-order through our partnership with Barnes & Noble Moorestown. Pre-orders are due to your child's teacher by 9/12, which is why we are sending this out before school begins! Books can be picked up at the event on 9/27.
