Earth Day - April 22

Earth Day is April 22 this year. We have planned activities for the day. Students will walk from the school property, down 11th Street, to the duck ponds (permission slips coming soon). Several activities have been planned for this day. We are Asking students pack & bring a lunch or get a sack lunch from the cafeteria ,at regular price, and eat in the park near the school after the events. Students are encouraged to bring flip flops and a towel. They may wade around in the bay (Beach Drive) and catch and release crabs. There is no cost to the students for any of the days activities. Contact your homeroom teacher if you would like to attend, participate, or lead an activity with the students.

Tee shirts were included with the full payment of students going to space camp. Several parents and teachers also ordered them as well. Shirts have been sent home with students this week. Students not going and parents or guardians wanting a Tee shirt who haven't ordered can order through the classroom teachers. Supplies are limited! Tee shirts will have the above piece of artwork created by one of our students, Kutler Morgan, displayed on the front. After FSA testing events

Hey parents- after the Writing FSA, Mrs. Forgue and I cooridinated to arrange a pizza delivery, soda and chips for all the students. We used the unscheduled time to design and engineer rockets for the TIMS Lab challenge.

We are looking for volunteers to take care of the other FSA days arrangements. Pizza works, or if you have another idea, maybe we can work it out. The cafeteria is still an option for lunch if no arrangements have been made.

If you would like to volunteer or help in any capacity, please let your home room teacher know.

Study / Homework Help

I am available most mornings to help students that struggle. My door is open at 7:00 a.m. As we get closer to FSA, students should develop a study routine and increase their study time. If I can help with additional studies, please let me know.
