Valentine's Day Party
As a reminder, we are unable to have siblings at our holiday party. Also, if you have signed up to bring food, please make sure the label indicates no tree nuts or peanuts. Tree nuts also include coconut (as stated by the FDA in 2006). We also ask that you make sure to bring store bought food (nothing homemade). Thank you!
All food requested by our classroom parents has been signed up for, but it looks like we are still in need of volunteers to help set up the party and volunteers to help serve food. Please click on the link below to sign up if you are available to help. We appreciate you!
You do not have to worry about decorating a fancy mailbox as we will make bags in class, but each student should bring in a class set of Valentines.
Also, please remember that we are a nut-free classroom. If your child's valentines have treats attached to them, be sure they do not contain nuts.
Visiting Old Red!
1. Trip date: Wednesday, February 10th
2. We will be departing school at 9:00am and returning approximately at 2:00pm
3. Students will need to bring a snack lunch to school that day
4. Students will need to wear comfortable shoes, a gator shirt OR green/blue, and at least a light jacket
5. 20 chaperones will be joining us on the trip, which makes 1 chaperone for about 4 students
We are so excited!
Growth Mindset: Class Dojo Episode 3!
Here is the 3rd episode of Class Dojo's growth mindset series. It discusses the power of "YET." We hope you enjoy!
25 Book Challenge
Please be sure to keep the 25 Book Challenge log up to date. The log is on bright pink paper and stored in a sheet protector in the binder.
Also, remember that this book challenge is for the 15-16 school year. You can count any book (over 100 pages for the 25 Book Challenge) that students have read this school year. (Poetry books and Non-fiction books can be less than 100 pages as long as they are on the appropriate reading level.)
Thanks so much for your support!
