Seeing Birds in First Grade
The first graders at Hanawalt have been working on studying birds this semester. Mrs. Nordmeyer’s class took the opportunity to create their very own bird puppets. Look at all the creativity in action! Students enjoyed talking about their bird creations including their names, diets, and habitats.

Parents Night Out is BACK: Registration Now Open
Registration is now open for Parents Night Out on April 21st, at the White Willow event center on Grand Ave. Cost is $25/pp. Sign up today!
Our biggest fundraiser of the year is back! This event is a great opportunity to get together with other Hanawalt parents and leave with some really great stuff. There will be a silent auction featuring some of our awesome area businesses like Gilroy’s, Lua Brewery, and Boesen the Florist.
And we are still looking for donations! Do you have a business that is able to donate a service or experience? Or, maybe your backyard is perfect for a tailgate party, you speak a second language you’re willing to teach others, or maybe you can get your neighbors together to stock a fun, themed gift that someone else might love!
Email jill.delancey@gmail.com if you can help in any way. We hope to see you there!
