In the beginning...
When I was about 11 years old, my best friends grandmother showed us her entire collection if Mary Kay makeup that she was selling. We were young and didn’t really know what to do with it, but we were absolutely fascinated with it. I wanted to learn every thing there was to learn about makeup and how to do it.
Look into my EYES
My favorite thing to do is eye makeup. To me, your eyes are the most interesting part of you. They can tell ALL about someone. When I do eye- makeup, I always start with primer and use natural colors that blend with your face. I’m not a fan of excentric colors. I absolutely love eye shadow and I feel that the color you choose, can tell the kind of person you are. I remember doing my sisters makeup for her wedding and she wanted to use really dark colors and I told her that although it may look good, it is a little too much for someone with light eyes and dark hair. Plus, when you are wearing a white dress, black isnt the color I would pick to go with that. I started to do it the way that I planned and used the Too Faced “Natural Eye” pallette. I used colors that blended with her face and put a very thin line of dark brown eyeliner on her top lash line and a little bit on her lower lash line. I used a dark black lengthening mascara and she just looked absolutely amazing!!

Foundation is very important. You don’t want to look like a cake face and you surely don’t want to be a pumpkin and be way too dark so that you look orange. Choosing the right color is very important. For me, I like to get a foundation color that is either my exact shade or a little too light so that I can get a darker pressed powder to darken it up. I did my friends makeup one time and she was a tad bit darker than me, but I knew exactly what I was doing. I put my liquid foundation on her and used my index finger and middle finger to blend it. I blended it in perfectly and she looked great. Always remember that when you are blending, to go a little above your neck so that you don’t get a base line. She complained about being a bit light, so I used a darker pressed powder all over her face and it all blended together just the way I wanted it to. I topped it off with a bit of bronzer and blush and I don’t think I have EVER done makeup that good before!
Today.
I honestly love doing makeup and one day, I plan to be a make-up artist. I have so much fun doing it and it’s never a bad thing to look good. I honestly dont know what I would do if I hadnt been introduced to makeup. To most people it may be a chore, but to me, it is fun and stress relieving. If I could do it all day I would!
