Nazareth Christian Fellowship
September 13, 2018
As we settle into a new semester, I can already feel the energy going down and the stress going up. The newness of a new school year is mellowing into familiar routines and impending deadlines.
From my little nook on the first floor of GAC I can feel the lack of energy and increased stress as you all walk by. If you ever need a break, feel free to stop in for some candy and a break.
Also, I wanted to share some websites that have been beneficial to me at times when I needed to take a break and relax and center myself.
This daily prayer website out of Ireland is one of my favorite guided daily prayers. https://www.sacredspace.ie/daily-prayer
If you're looking for apps:
1. The Presbyterian Church (USA) has a daily prayer app that is around $2 and features guided prayers 3 times each day--morning, midday, and evening. https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/daily-prayer-pc-usa/id568520697?mt=8
2. Shane Claiborne has an app called Common Prayer for Ordinary Radicals that will lead you through prayer and includes song. You can also view it here: http://commonprayer.net/
3. Many Bible apps offer reading plans that you can subscribe to that will guide you through reading different parts of the Bible.
If you'd like to find some pause in your week in a different way, NCF is kicking off our fall Bible Study on Thursday, Sept. 20, at 4 pm in my office. We will be reading and studying Genesis together.
As always, if you'd like to talk, please stop by and see me or email me and make an appointment!
I'll be praying that you all find ways to find the the pause in your everyday life.
Blessings,
Nadia

Harvesters Christian Fellowship: Fridays at 7 pm in GAC 151!
Iron Sharpens Iron.
Harvesters is intended to build community among Christians at Nazareth College. In fellowship, we encourage and sharpen one another in our constant pursuit of intimacy with God. We are called to ‘harvest the field’ that God has placed us in. By responding to this call with passionate worship, prayer, and service, we strive to bring revival and unity to our campus and beyond. Ultimately, our vision is to be our generation’s demonstration of an Acts church - a growing and maturing body of believers living out the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
We meet every Friday 7-9 PM in the GAC Community Room (first floor). Our time together consists of prayer, worship, and a study of scripture. If you enjoy pizza, ping pong, and healthy discussion, come join us! All are welcome.
"The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few." - Matthew 9:37
"Don't you have a saying, 'It's still four months until harvest'? I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest." - John 4:35
