Car Riders and Walkers Procedures
The earliest you can drop off students in the morning is :30 am. Students will wait outside the front entrance. A staff member will open the doors at 7:30 am. Students will be released for breakfast at 7:50am.
Dismissal:
Walkers: Walkers are dismissed to walk towards the flag pole and Wellington Street. There is a crossing guard at Wellington and Dairy View Lane. Students will not be allowed to walk towards Beechnut. If you choose to meet your child, please meet them at the flag pole to walk home. Remember an umbrella on rainy days.
Car Riders: It is imperative that proper procedures are followed to ensure the safety of our students and staff during dismissal. We have 2 lanes in the afternoon for student pick-up. The line closest to the school is reserved for car riders. The second lane (between first line and parking spaces) is reserved for day care vans. Students should only load and unload vehicles in the loading zone, which is directly in front of the school entrance. Follow the directions of the dismissal staff and move to the next available spot to pick up your child.
Do not park in the spaces or along the street to pick up your child, Alief ISD Police will issue tickets during dismissal. This is a safety issue.
Our goal is to ensure the safety of our students. They are our number one priority. If we have everyone's cooperation, our car rider line will be efficient, fast, and safe. Thank you.
