St Elizabeth's News
NEWSLETTER | TERM 1 | WEEK 7 | 17 MARCH 2023

Rebecca Clarke | Principal
Dear parents and caregivers,
Happy St Patrick’s Day! To all our families with an Irish connection, including my own, I hope you have a lovely day!
It was lovely to return to school this week after a few days off and I would like to thank Mrs Emma Fernandez and the Admin team for keeping everything running smoothly.
A BIG congratulations to Mrs Clarkson on a wonderful Interhouse Swimming Carnival on Thursday. This was the first Swimming Carnival for St Elizabeth’s and the enjoyment and sportsmanship, along with some healthy competition, and ‘have-a-go' attitude by our Year 4 to 6 students was an honour to witness and I was proud of each and every one of them. Congratulations to our Champion and Runner-up boys and girls for each year level. Well done to Servite for winning the overall carnival and to Assisi for taking home the Sportsmanship trophy. Thank you must go to our staff who, as always, go above and beyond to make these events a success and also to our parents, both helpers on the morning, and those cheering in the stands. Our students are already talking about next year's carnival!
A reminder to all families that no students should be at school before 8:15am. If a student arrives earlier, they will need to be supervised by a parent or caregiver outside the Admin building. Please do not wait outside the classroom doors. Additionally, I would also like to ask that all parents wait outside the Admin building, not at the top of the stairs, at the end of the day NO EARLIER than 2:45pm until the bell goes at 2:50pm. Thank you in advance.
Please remember if your child is unwell, do not send them to school. As Covid-19 is still present in our community, it is vital that we all work together and keep our whole school community safe and well.
Good luck to all our dad’s or father figures as they embark on the ‘Dad’s Camp Out’ tonight. I hope you all have a fabulous sleep over at the school! Thank you to the P&F for organising this great community building event.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Rebecca Clarke
Principal

Therapists on site
The school has received a high volume of requests for therapists to deliver therapy programs to students onsite. Whilst we understand that therapists cannot accommodate every child before and after school, we need to give careful consideration in allowing therapists to deliver therapy on site and during school hours as your child remains our duty of care and we have a requirement to teach the curriculum.
In accordance with the Privacy Act, our teachers are unable to pass on details of your child or their education to the therapists. Teachers will provide this information to you as the parent and therapists can access this information from you. Any new requests for therapy to be held during the school day, should be sent directly to the Principal via admin@stecps.wa.edu.au

Book Club Information
All book club orders need to be finalized by Friday 17th March. We appreciate all scholastic orders as they help our school to earn reward points so that we may purchase additional education resources for our students. A big thank you to those families who have supported us in the past catalogues.
Kind Regards
Mrs Alli Burgess
