Every 107 seconds someone in the U.S. is sexually assaulted. There are an average of 293,066 victims of sexual assault each year just in the United States. 82% of the victims are women or girls.
Why Victims Don't Tell?
80% of sexual assault victims do not immediately tell someone. Many victims believe that it is their fault that they were assaulted. Also, they are usually afraid of what other people are going to think of them and do not want to ruin their reputation.
