MS 2019 Electives
At Agora Middle School, students have the option of taking either Art or Music as an Elective. These classes meet either Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday. They are synchronous, semester, graded courses. If you would like to take Art or Music during the 2nd semester session, please complete the survey below.
Students must also take one semester of Physical Education/Health during Middle School grades. 6th or 7th graders who would like to complete this requirement now, may sign up by completing the survey below. Students in 8th grade who have not met the requirement will automatically be assigned to Phys Ed/Health and do not need to complete the survey. PE is also a synchronous, semester, graded course.

Asynchronous/Synchronous Status Changes Information
This link will close on 1/25/2019.
https://goo.gl/forms/U7Wt0FnVbrIqxMHA3
If approved Async/Sync status will begin 1/29/2019.
We will not be issuing any more requests after start of Semester 2, unless it is designated a crucial circumstance.
The criteria to maintain Asynchronous Attendance Status:
- Maintain strong communication with teachers and strong attendance by logging in to the OLS every school day
- Maintaining quality course grades of mostly A’s and B’s.
- No Missing Assignments
- Completion of ALL required assessments- This includes Unit Assessments, CDT, and any classroom assessments.
As an asynchronous student you should still attend core classes as often as possible. You must log into the OLS daily, and check emails at the beginning and end of the day. Constant communication with teachers is the key to success in a virtual school. It is very important to watch recordings when you are struggling to understand a concept from a class you had to miss. Please reach out to your teachers if you have any questions or concerns.
