Let's Get Ready!
Preparing for 2021-2022
Dear Roseway Families:
I hope now that summer has arrived, you are finding opportunities to relax, enjoy, and return to many of the summer traditions that were put on hold by the Covid-19 Pandemic. Many of us at Roseway are especially looking forward to the return of the Summer Olympic Games. This year's games are particularly exciting because Roseway Heights' alumnus, Micah Williams will be a member of the USA relay pool. Micah is a freshman at the University of Oregon. He made history and set records with a fifth-place finish in the final of the men's 100 meters during the U.S. Olympic Track and Field Trials at Hayward field in Eugene. Please join us in cheering for Micah as he represents the US in Tokyo.
SUN SCHOOL
Dear Roseway Heights Community,
Please checkout the Roseway Heights SUN Summer 2021 Classes and a new RHMS SUN website which can be referenced for programming and resource updates. Our summer program classes are for middle school ages, with Roseway Heights students prioritized for registration. Check out the registration materials to find class descriptions for printmaking, sewing, cooking, sports, zines, STEAM, Dungeons & Dragons, skateboarding, an offering from our partner in youth outdoor adventuring, Betties360, a couple virtual class opportunities, and other exploratory topics. Roseway SUN programming will be following COVID-19 guidelines set by the school district and Portland Parks & Recreation. We have a new roster of awesome staff excited to meet Roseway students and have a fun, safe, and inclusive experience.
We hope you will share these opportunities with your students, and that we will see them at Roseway this summer! All classes are free. Free lunch served onsite at 12:30 with take-home meals available at the end of program day.
