Martin Luther King, Jr. made a big difference in the way African-American people are treated today and when he was alive. Martin Luther King, Jr. changed the way people thought about and treated African-Americans. Martin Luther King, Jr. was born in January 15, 1929 and died by assassination on April 4, 1968. Martin Luther King, Jr. was the first person to combat racial in deference with non-violence acts such as speeches and marches. After Martin Luther King, Jr's death people were still trying to get African-Americans equal rights.
Abraham Lincoln
Abraham Lincoln was the 16th President of the United States, serving from March 1861 until his assassination in April 1865. Abraham Lincoln was a very big factor in abolishing slavery. Abraham Lincoln disapproved of slavery, and the spread of slavery to new U.S. territory in the west.
