Counselor Cabana News!
Do you know that we are a "No Place For Hate Anti-Defamation League" Campus?
The No Place for Hate initiative helps to create and sustain an inclusive school environment where all students feel valued and have the opportunity to succeed by promoting respect for individual differences. To earn the designation, schools commit to creating a student-led coalition, signing the ADL's Resolution of Respect (this will be done next week during lunch time) and implementing at least 3 anti-bias and diversity related activities during the school year. We have completed 1 activity- the video about Respect that was created by the 4th grader students which was broadcasted to our students and staff on our morning announcements.
For more information about the No Place for Hate go to: adl.org
FYI: ADL= Anti- Defamation League
Positive Behavior Ideas:
Do not forget to check out this week's positive behavior ideas in the Copy Room. Also, if you need any help implementing positive behavior rewards systems in your classroom just let me know. I really enjoy trying new things and helping my awesome WPE teachers.
