Message from Mrs. Hawkins
Lincoln Families and Friends,
We have had an awesome start to the 2021-22 school year. I am so proud of our Lincoln Leaders for their hard work and positive attitude. This year we are keeping a bucket in each classroom for Lincoln Leader tickets. Students earn tickets throughout the week and each classroom has a drawing on Friday. The Lincoln PTO has generously supported this program by giving each classroom funds for prizes. We will have a school-wide drawing at the end of each quarter to increase the motivation of our students. The goal of this program is to teach students the expectations and point out the positive behaviors in a way that will encourage all students to be their best. You can help us by acknowledging your students for their leadership at home. When they are Respectful, Responsible, and Ready to Learn, let them know you appreciate it. Also, if you work at a business that would like to support our program with prizes, let me know!
Another component of our Lincoln Leader Program is to have community building opportunities for students. We will have one celebration each quarter and this week we are excited about the field trip to Manthey Park to try out the new We All Play Playground and Miracle Field. Second quarter we are planning a school BINGO event. We know students learn better when they are happy and have positive relationships with teachers and peers, which Lincoln Leader celebrations provide.
Thank you for all you do to support the school and your child. Together we can inspire students to reach their full potential. I’m looking forward to a great year at Lincoln School!
