ONLINE EARLY REGISTRATION
- Are you planning on RETURNING to FPCS next year?
- Want to make sure your student's slot is reserved with your sponsor teacher?
We are requesting that all families re-enroll online before you head out for summer vacation: May 1st - May 26th.
For your convenience the Anchorage School District is offering the opportunity for families to re-enroll their students from the comfort of your home or mobile device. We will post the link as soon as it becomes available.
We are close to capacity and with over 100 students applying to our school in the lottery this spring, it looks like we will reach our Charter limit of 700 students.
The President's Volunteer Service Award
We are pleased to bring back a program in our school called, “The President’s Volunteer Service Award.” Over the years, we have become aware that many of our FPCS students have performed a considerable amount of volunteer hours in our community and we would like to officially recognize those efforts. This award recognizes hours of service and is signed by the President of the United States. We will be giving these to students who meet the volunteer requirements.
If you would like your student to be involved in this program (it’s great for portfolios!), please contact Teresa Kress at 907-230-7938 or email kress_teresa@asdk12.org and she will give you the “Record of Service” log and all information related to this exciting program. All hours must be completed by the submission date of April 30, 2017.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Early College Program
Did you know that Family Partnership Charter School students have been taking university level classes at UAA and APU since 2012? FPCS will pay tuition (through your student allotment) for students in grades 9-12 that qualify to register for 100 level or higher courses.
One of the major advantages of our school is the flexibility in selecting courses. FPCS students have the ability to take single class enrollments at their zoned high school, attend KCC, UAA, APU, take classes online, attend a small group class taught by ASD teachers, and earn credits via parent taught curriculum. Additionally, each of our students receives individually tailored academic support from a sponsor teacher who partners with parents to ensure the best possible educational experience Anchorage has to offer.
Another advantage of FPCS's Early College Program is that Family Partnership students can access the complete spectrum of courses taught by full, assistant, associate, as well as adjunct professors. Our students also attend classes with college students right on UAA's campus.
We hope you will help us get the word out about the amazing opportunities Family Partnership has to offer.
