Amendments 1 and 2
Congress shall make no laws respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; of abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government redress of grievances.
Summary of Amendment 1
The first amendment says that you can be whatever religion you want, write anything in the newspaper, to assemble for a good purpose and to ask the government for help.
A well regulated Militia being necessary to the security of a free State and the right of the people to keep and bear Arms shall not be infringed.
Summary of The 2nd amendment
A state is allowed to have an army, and that citizens of a state are allowed to have a gun with them as long as they have a permit
