August 18, 2021
We hope everyone had a good summer break filled with rest, a chance to recharge, and an opportunity to spend quality time with loved ones.
We are very excited for the 2021 - 2022 school year and welcome back our students and extended school partners!
While we are still two weeks away from our first day of classes, this edition of the Parent Sabre Scene is intended to give you a general background of upcoming dates to help guide you in your planning, as we wrap up the final couple weeks of August, and officially open the doors to the school year on September 1, 2021.
Registration and Student Timetable Access
Student timetables for the 2021 - 2022 school year can now be viewed through PowerSchool. Students can request timetable changes by completing the Course Change Request Form also accessible from the Salisbury webpage at salcomp.ca. Students must be logged into their Google Account to complete the form. Students will be notified by email when their requests have been processed.
The following registration times allow students the opportunity to have their photo ID picture taken, and receive their locker assignment. Students will also be able to store their supplies in their lockers.
August 25: Grade 12 Registration 8:30 - 11:30 a.m.
August 26: Grade 11 Registration 8:30 - 11:30 a.m.
August 27: Grade 10 Registration 8:30 - 11:30 a.m.
September 1 - We will be starting the year with a staggered reentry. Specifically, the morning of September 1 will be for our grade 10 students and any new student coming to SAL. This will allow us the opportunity to familiarize our new Sabres to the school, get a chance to meet our staff, and have some fun with a morning orientation planned. In the afternoon, all students will be welcomed back into classes. Stay tuned in next week’s Parent Sabre Scene for a modified bell schedule for September 1, 2021.
Related to safety measures for the upcoming school year, EIPS is working through the Government of Alberta’s guidance documents and will release the Division’s plans as soon as decisions have been made.
In closing, please do not hesitate to contact the school if you have any questions or concerns.
