Who is Judy Barbe?
She has served as a senior director of health and wellness with a regional dairy council and has overseen nutrition programs and communications with emphasis on relationship management and outreach, strategic planning, public speaking, event planning, and materials development and marketing.
Additionally, she is the author of two books, Your 6-Week Guide to LiveBest, Simple Solutions for Fresh Food & Well-Being and LiveBest Seasonally, a Fresh Approach to Living with Vitality. She shows people how to make better-for-you choices through her website, original recipes, speaking engagements, ongoing newspaper columns and webinar series.
She is currently a member of the Academy’s House of Delegates, a past chair of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Food and Culinary Professionals Dietetic Practice Group, past president of the Wyoming Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, and a member of the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association Nutrition Seminar Speaker’s Bureau.
As the founder of LiveBest, she specializes in nutrition communications consulting where she coaches women to take the stage with confidence, monitor food and nutrition trends to develop creative strategy, write relevant, engaging content, and deliver impactful, personable presentations that connect with audiences. As a food enthusiast, she knows how food can be enjoyed and that healthful eating is pleasurable — all on the same fork.
She has spoken at dozens of statewide conference and webinars, most recently, educating nutrition professionals and the public on the topic of food waste, providing ideas they can implement at home to be part of the solution to the global concern. She spoke at the Arizona ANS conference last year in Flagstaff.
Her recipes and recommendations have been featured on Prevention.com, Casper Star Tribune CookingLight.com, ReaderDigest.com, Time.com, WomansDay.com , MensFitness.com, WomensHealthMag.com, Shape.com, FitnessMagazine.com, and Walnuts.org.
She develops recipes and writes for a regional paper with the overall goal of providing realistic food solutions. One of the big reasons she wrote Your 6- Week Guide to LiveBest, Simple Solutions for Fresh Food a & Well-Being, was to help people navigate healthier eating.
