A Time to Give
Hi, everyone! Now that we spent the month of November reflecting and being thankful, it’s time to give back. With all of the great charity fundraising taking place (don’t forget to donate to our good causes!), we wanted to give something back to you. Introducing… OUR (second annual) FAVORITE THINGS!
Read on to take a look at our favorite resources, extensions, and tools. We tried to categorize them to make it easier to digest, but of course, many of these tools can be used in a variety of ways. Feel free to reach out to us with questions, or simply to share how you’ve used some of the resources.
Our Favorite "Teacher Productivity" Tools
Bitmoji
Permanent Clipboard
Google Cast
Use the Google Cast extension to project students screens from their Chromebook to your projected desktop screen. Great for sharing work, collaborating on resources, etc.
Our Favorite "Effective Communicator" Tools
Recap
Screencastify
Google Hangouts
Get students communicating beyond the classroom using Google Hangouts. Using hangouts, students can chat with classes at North or anywhere in the world!
Our Favorite "Self-Directed Learner" Tools
Google Classroom
Padlet
Google Keep
In Google Keep, you can create virtual checklists, add images, and take notes that you can organize by label and/or color to fit your needs. As with the other Google Suite tools, you can add collaborators to your notes to make planning a breeze. You can also push notes into Google Docs or Slides with Keep Notepad.
